WHO denies theory Covid-19 was leaked from Wuhan lab after China trip

Pollemix News – February 09, 2021
World Health Organization (WHO) investigators probing the origin of the Covid-19 pandemic attempted to dismiss the theory that the virus may have emerged as a result of a leak from a Wuhan laboratory specializing in the study of infectious diseases.

Although it is widely accepted that the disease likely originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, several competing theories on the original source of the infection have circulated since the disease first appeared in late 2019. Initial reports were that the first cases emerged out of Wuhan’s notorious ‘wet markets’, where live animals are sold in unsanitary conditions ideal for inter-species disease transmission. Despite most scientists accepting this as the most likely hypothesis, skeptics claim that the disease was in fact an accidental leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the ‘wet market’ theory was just a convenient cover story for the Chinese regime.

Speculation that China was not being completely forthcoming on the true genesis of Coronavirus gathered steam as authorities cracked down on Chinese scientists who contradicted the official story and refused to let foreign investigators into the country to validate their findings. The World Health Organization was also criticized for being subservient to China, after praising the country’s response to the virus and complimenting Chinese health officials on their “transparency” despite being stonewalled in their attempts to access or validate data relating to the initial outbreak.

Nevertheless, the WHO was eventually allowed into China in order to complete an investigation into the origin of Covid-19 with their findings seemingly dismissive of the ‘leaked lab hypothesis’. It should be noted, however, the WHO inquiry only commenced on January 14 of this year, 15 months after the outbreak began, and lasted little more than a week in total.

Safety and disease expert Peter Embarek who headed up the investigation stood by the WHO findings insisting:

“Our initial findings suggest that the introduction through an intermediary host species is the most likely pathway and one that will require more studies and more specific targeted research.”

Adding, “However, the findings suggest that the laboratory incidents hypothesis is extremely unlikely to explain the introduction of the virus to the human population.”

Considering the cozy relationship between the WHO and China some will be skeptical of the findings, particularly as the conclusions reached almost completely vindicates the official Chinese government story. It should be noted, however, that China has never wavered from their original verdict and when asked about whether there was interference from Chinese authorities during the WHO investigation, team member and zoologist Peter Dzsak responded:

“It is of course impossible to know what you are not being told, but what I am seeing in China, and what this group is seeing in China, is that what we asked for, we are being allowed to do.”
