Pollemix Privacy Policy

Here at Pollemix we are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information.  This privacy policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, distributed, shared and what your rights and obligations are specifically with respect to the use of this personal information.  This privacy aim to be transparent about how we collect, use and safeguard your information. Protecting your personal information is very important to us and this Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and what we do with that information. Pollemix is not affiliated with any political party, candidate, or interest group.

We may revise the privacy policy of Pollemix from time to time, we will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of the policy.

We collect information from Users in order to provide you with a personalized experience. The categories of information we collect may include:

Personal Data/Information

When you visit Pollemix through links including Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo or other sites, we may receive information from the social network including profile information, user name, user ID associated with your social media account, age range, language, country, friends list, and any other information you permit the social network to share with third parties. We will never share any of this data with third parties.

The data we receive is dependent upon your privacy settings with the social network, and we will never post information about you on third party social media sites without your consent. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to our website or Service.
Personal Data does not include aggregate information, which is data we collect about the use of our Site or about a group or category of services or users, from which individual identities, contact information, or other personal information has been removed.

Anonymous Data

Anonymous Data means data that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Data; Anonymous Data does not, by itself, permit the identification of individual persons. This includes answers to our Polls, or aggregate information which is data we collect through use of the Pollemix website or about a group or category of services or users, from which individual identities or other personal information has been removed.
When you visit Pollemix, some data is automatically collected, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your operating system, the browser type, the address of a referring website, and your activity on our Site.

Sharing Your Information

If you choose to join a discussion your Username will be visible to other users but your other Personal Information, such as your email address, will be kept private unless you choose to share that information.

We use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the services we provide. These tools collect information sent by your device or computer on our service, including the web pages you visit, add-ons, and other information that assists us in improving the service. We collect and use this analytics information with analytics information from other users so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify any particular user.

Information held overseas

We may hold personal information about you in, or may disclose this information to, third party service providers located overseas. Your personal information will most likely be held in the United States of America or Australia however it may also be held in Japan, Canada, Singapore, Philippines, India, Netherlands, Malaysia, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. If your personal information is held in other overseas countries in the future, we will update this privacy policy.

Children’s Privacy

Pollemix website access is not age restricted, however, we do not knowingly collect, use, or share information that could reasonably be used to identify children under age 13 without prior parental consent or consistent with applicable law. International Users

If you live outside the United States and provide us with data, you agree that your Personal Data may be processed for the purposes identified in the Privacy Policy. In addition, your Personal Data may be processed in the country in which it was collected and in other countries, including the United States, where laws regarding processing of Personal Data may be less stringent than the laws in your country. How to access and correct your personal information

We will consider whether the information requires correction and notify you of our review.

Telling a third party about a correction: If we correct any personal information, you may ask us to notify a third party of that correction. We will take reasonable steps to do so.

Your California Privacy Rights

California law provides California residents with the right to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.   Pollemix provides California residents with a free method to opt out of having personal information shared with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

If you are a California resident and would like Pollemix to refrain from sharing such information, please send your opt-out request to [email protected]. Please include “California Privacy Rights Request” as the email’s subject line. In your request, please include all personal information as used to set up your account on Pollemix.

Do Not Track Disclosure

Please note that our website does not support “Do Not Track” browser settings and do not currently participate in any “Do Not Track” frameworks that would allow us to respond to signals or other mechanisms from you regarding the collection of your personal or non-personally identifiable information.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to change the provisions of this Policy at any time. We will make clear that changes have been made by indicating on the top of the Policy the date it was last updated. Unless otherwise stated in the amendment, the amended Policy will automatically be effective after it is posted on our website.
