Following the overturning of Roe v Wade, there are increasing fears among progressives that the Supreme Court will seek to overturn the legalization of gay marriage next. With a solid 6-3 conservative majority on the court there is real hope among Republicans that the left wing legislative gains of the last half decade can be undone and the United States can be molded in a more conservative fashion.
