Despite Donald Trump's election loss, Republican lawmakers have been loathe to criticize the former President with the notable exception of Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney and Adam Kinzinger who repeatedly blamed Trump for the failed January 06 Insurrection. Perhaps the reluctance is borne out of Trump's tremendous popularity among the MAGA base who still revere Biden's predecessor and who have repeatedly lashed out at Trump's critics.
