Tucker Carlson alleges Jan. 6 Insurrection was an FBI false flag

Fox Host Tucker Carlson alleged yesterday that FBI Agents were responsible for orchestrating the January 06 Capitol Hill Riot. Channeling his inner Alex Jones, Tucker opened by suggesting ‘unindicted co-conspirators’ listed in court documents were actually undercover FBI agents.
“Strangely, some of the key people who participated on the riot on Jan. 6 have not been charged. Look at the documents. The government calls them unindicted co-conspirators. What does it mean? Well, it means that potentially in every single case, they were FBI operatives.”
Fox has sought to downplay the Capitol Riot or accuse Democrats of being responsible and their efforts are having an effect. Shockingly, a recent poll showed 73% of Republicans believed the riot was caused by “left wing protesters trying to make Trump look bad.” Following the election, MAGA fans were furious at Fox for refusing to back Trump’s “stolen election” theories. As a result, there was an exodus of conservative viewers to the zealously pro-Trump OAN and Newsmax. In an effort to woo back their audience, Fox has moved further right and doubled down on their support for Trump. Carlson has been at the forefront of this turn by airing glowing segments on killed rioter Ashley Babbitt and attacks on the Capitol Police.

Verdict
Despite Carlson’s claims, no tangible evidence has been provided that the FBI was involved. Unfortunately, considering today’s partisan divide both sides will continue to support the narrative that supports their bias. Above all, Carlson is the undisputed ratings leader because he provides the audience with what they wish to hear so don’t expect facts to get in the way of a good story.
