Throughout the 2020 Presidential campaign both party's hurled allegations that the other was a cult. While Democrats pointed to the adulation for then President Trump as evidence that Republican voters were blindly worshiping in a cult of personality, the GOP countered by showing how Democrat voters were in lockstep on practically every issue with the overriding mantra of "Never Trump."
