President Biden's removal of troops from Afghanistan has been chaotic at best and he has come under fire from his predecessor Trump. Supporters of President Biden have claimed that Trump setting the timetable for retreat had forced Biden's hand. Furthermore, they claim that with weak Afghan resistance and a resurgent Taliban that the collapse would have happened just as rapidly with Trump at the helm. Conversely, Trump's acolytes insist that he would have had a more measured withdrawal and would have responded better to the conditions on the ground.
