This week far-right lawyer Sidney Powell admitted that she knowingly lied about widespread voter fraud. Despite repeatedly claiming to have an abundance of evidence that would prove the election was "stolen" from Donald Trump, in a defense brief attempting to dismiss a $1.3 Billion lawsuit from Dominion Voting Systems against her, Powell made the jaw-dropping admission that no "reasonable person" would accept her statements as "fact".
Powell's repeated lies about election fraud were instrumental in Trump's refusal to accept the election results and undoubtedly contributed to the atmosphere of discontent that led to the Capitol Hill riot.
