On Tuesday Democrats will take the unprecedented step of impeaching Donald Trump for the second time, despite the fact that he has already left the White House. Republicans have attacked the move as unconstitutional on the basis that Trump is no longer the sitting President and it seems unlikely that Democrats will successfully garner the votes of two-thirds of the Senate they require to convict. Nevertheless, the Democrats are pressing ahead maintaining that former President Trump should face consequences for inciting the January 06 Capitol Hill Riot.
