BREAKING: VP Pence to receive Covid Vaccine live on TV to build public trust

Pollemix News – December 16, 2020
Vice President Mike Pence revealed plans to receive the newly released Covid-19 vaccine on live television this Friday as part of a concerted White House effort to build public confidence in the vaccine. Alongside Trump’s VP will be wife Karen and Surgeon General Jerome Adams who will also receive the inoculation, with the event expected to be broadcast by major networks.

The administration has touted the development of the Coronavirus vaccine as one of Trump’s most spectacular achievements, however, despite repeated assurances that no corners were cut during the development or testing they have struggled to overcome mistrust and anti-vax sentiment, even amongst Trump’s most strident supporters. A December survey conducted by the Kaiser Family foundation showed only 71% of Americans are currently willing to receive the vaccine, although the number has increased from 63% in their September poll.

To combat the lack of faith amongst the American public, former Presidents Barack Obama, George W Bush and Bill Clinton have expressed their willingness to publicly receive an inoculation and President-elect Joe Biden is expected to receive the a shot early next week telling CNN, “We’re working on that plan right now and when I do it, I’ll do it publicly.”

President Trump has not yet clarified if he to would be willing to follow Pence and Biden’s example, however, spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany told the White House Press Corp that Trump is “absolutely open to taking the vaccine.” Although there is speculation that Trump is likely immune from reinfection after contracting the disease in October, his publicly receiving the shot would be a significant boost to the White House’s hopes of increasing vaccination confidence, as presently Republicans are four times more likely than Democrats to refuse the Coronavirus inoculation.

POLL: Will you get the Covid-19 Vaccine if Trump says it’s safe?

President Trump's Operation Warp Speed played a vital role in developing the Covid-19 vaccines available today and along with wife Melania he was one of the first to receive a vaccination. Despite this many of Trump's supporters are skeptical with 41% of Republicans in a recent survey saying they would not get the Covid-19 vaccine when it becomes available.

Will Republicans get the Covid vaccine knowing that Trump himself has received it and says it's safe?
